5 habits that are slowly but surely destroying your joints

This isn’t typical advice like, “Eat less meat.” This is about everyday, seemingly harmless habits that are exacerbating the problem.

Habit #5: “I can’t eat without bread!”
(and uric acid is already working in the joints)

What is the connection?
– White bread, muffins, pasta increase insulin levels.
– And insulin prevents the excretion of uric acid.
– The sugar in the dough makes the blood thicker and stickier, which makes it difficult to nourish the joints.

What to do:
✔️Replace white bread with rye with bran.
✔️Eat only durum wheat pasta.
✔️Make half your plate vegetables and whole grains.

Habit #4: “Tea with something sweet?”
(and uric acid is already at the starting line!)

The combination of black tea and jam is insidious:

– Black tea is rich in purines – substances that increase uric acid levels.
– Sweets increase inflammation.
– If you add a piece of cake – it’s a double whammy on the joints.

What to do:
✔️ Replace black tea with green, chamomile, or rosehip tea.
✔️Instead of sweets, use fresh or dried fruits without added sugar.

Habit #3: “I don’t drink water – tea is also a liquid!”
(and my joints are already “drowning”)

Why is this a bad idea?

– Tea, coffee and carbonated drinks act as diuretics – they remove fluids, but do not replace them.
– When dehydrated, the blood thickens and uric acid accumulates.
– The kidneys become overloaded, and the acid remains in the body.

What to do:
✔️Start with 1 glass of water in the morning on an empty stomach.
✔️Add a slice of lemon, cucumber, or ginger for cleansing.
✔️Gradually increase your water intake to at least 1.5–2 liters per day.

Habit #2: “It hurts – it’s time for heat!”
(and the joints are screaming: “NO!”)

Do you immediately reach for the electric blanket? Bad idea for sore joints:

– Heat increases blood flow, but it also increases swelling and pain.
– Heat doesn’t “calm down” inflammation – it inflames it even more.
– A hot bath may initially provide relief, but then the pain returns with a vengeance.

What to do:
✔️For swelling – use a cold compress.
✔️Cabbage leaves are an old but effective remedy.
✔️If you like heat – choose a sea salt bath for the whole body, not local heating.

Habit #1: “My feet are freezing… Well, I’ll bear it.”
(and uric acid triumphs)

Did you know that cold literally “locks” uric acid in the joints?

– When the feet get cold, the vessels constrict and blood circulation deteriorates.
– The joints do not receive the necessary nutrition.
– Uric acid settles in the tissues and cannot be removed.
