Slow Cooker Amish-Style Glazed Carrots
Directions
Prepare the Carrots
Peel the carrots and slice them evenly, then place them into your slow cooker.
Mix the Glaze
In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, melted butter, water, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and cinnamon until well blended.
Combine
Pour the glaze over the carrots and gently toss to ensure everything is coated.
Slow Cook
Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours, giving it an occasional stir so the glaze spreads evenly.
Serve
Once the carrots are soft and the glaze has thickened, transfer them to a serving dish. Add chopped nuts or parsley if you want a bit of color and texture.
