Instructions
1. Preheat & Brown

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease.
2. Simmer the Filling

Return the beef mixture to the skillet. Stir in the pizza sauce, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3–5 minutes, until heated through.
3. Assemble

Place the split buns cut-side up on a baking sheet.

Spoon the warm beef mixture evenly onto the bottom halves of the buns. Top each generously with shredded mozzarella.
4. Bake

Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bun edges are lightly toasted.

For crispier buns, you can toast the tops separately in the oven for the last 3–4 minutes, if desired.
5. Serve & Enjoy

Remove from the oven, top with the remaining bun halves, and serve hot.
