Instructions
1. Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, add apricot preserves, minced jalapeños, vinegar, soy sauce (if using), lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
2. Simmer
Place over medium heat. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
Cook for 5–7 minutes, until slightly thickened and the jalapeños have softened.
3. Taste and Adjust
Add more vinegar for tang, or a bit more apricot preserves for sweetness.
If you want it spicier, stir in a few jalapeño seeds or an extra chopped pepper.
4. Cool and Serve
Let the sauce cool slightly before serving. It will thicken more as it cools.
Serving Ideas
Brush over grilled or roasted meats (especially pork or chicken).
Use as a glaze for ribs or wings.
Serve as a dipping sauce for shrimp, egg rolls, or even your herb-garlic ribeye steak for a sweet-heat contrast.
