Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake Slice

🥣 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake
    • Bake the chocolate cake according to package directions.
    • Let it cool completely (very important).
    • Slice the cake horizontally to create two even layers.
  2. Layer One
    • Place the bottom cake layer into a springform pan or baking dish lined with plastic wrap.
    • Spread half of the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the cake.
    • Freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  3. Add the Fudge
    • Warm the hot fudge sauce slightly so it’s pourable.
    • Pour evenly over the frozen ice cream layer.
    • Freeze again for 15–20 minutes.
  4. Layer Two
    • Spread the remaining vanilla ice cream over the fudge layer.
    • Place the second cake layer on top and gently press down.
  5. Final Freeze
    • Cover tightly and freeze for at least 4–6 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Serve
    • Remove from freezer 10 minutes before slicing.
    • Top with whipped cream and your favorite toppings.
    • Drizzle with extra hot fudge just before serving.
