Cook the Cabbage

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.

Sauté the onion until soft and translucent.

Add the chopped cabbage, season with salt and pepper.

Cook until the cabbage is tender, about 20 minutes.
Make the Dumpling Batter

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and 1/2 tsp salt.

In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a thick batter forms.
Cook the Dumplings

Bring a pot of salted water to a gentle boil.

Using two spoons, drop small portions of batter into the boiling water.

Cook until the dumplings rise to the surface, about 3–5 minutes.

Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Combine & Serve

Fold the cooked dumplings into the tender cabbage.

Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

Serve warm.
