Creamy Garlic Bread Bowls Stuffed with Cheesy Chicken

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the garlic bread bowls

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).

Cut the tops off each bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving about 2 cm (¾ inch) of bread around the edges to keep them sturdy. Reserve the bread centers for dipping or breadcrumbs.

In a bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and Parmesan. Spread generously inside and around each bread bowl.

Place on a baking tray and bake for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden and fragrant. Set aside.

2. Cook the turkey bacon

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add turkey bacon and cook for 4–5 minutes until lightly crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the flavorful fat in the pan.

3. Cook the chicken

In the same skillet, add diced chicken. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside with the bacon.

4. Sauté vegetables

Add butter to the skillet. Stir in onions and mushrooms. Cook for 5–7 minutes until soft and lightly caramelized. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Build the stroganoff sauce

Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir for 1 minute to cook out the raw flour taste. Slowly pour in chicken broth while stirring to prevent lumps.

Add cream, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for 4–5 minutes, until thick and silky.

6. Combine everything

Return chicken and turkey bacon to the skillet. Stir until fully coated in sauce. Add mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

7. Stuff the bread bowls

Spoon the hot, cheesy stroganoff mixture generously into each garlic bread bowl. Top with extra cheese if desired.

8. Final bake

Return filled bread bowls to the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.

9. Serve immediately

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot while the bread is crispy and the filling is irresistibly creamy.
