- Brown the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion for about 5 minutes, until beef is browned and onion is soft. - Drain & Season
Drain excess fat. Stir in BBQ sauce, mustard, black pepper, and uncooked rice. - Add Broth
Pour in broth and mix well to combine. - Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over the top. - Simmer
Cover and simmer for 5–7 minutes, until rice is tender and cheese is melted. - Garnish & Serve
Top with crispy bacon and green onions if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
