Step 1
In a small bowl, mix the warm milk and fresh yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until slightly frothy.
In a large bowl, combine the flour and eggs. Pour in the milk-yeast mixture and stir until smooth. Cover and let rest at room temperature for 1 hour.

Mix in the salt, pepper, five-spice powder, chopped green onion, and sliced sausages. Stir well to combine.
Step 3
In a deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of oil to 350°F (175°C).
Using a spoon or small scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Step 4
Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce or as-is.
